Loki; a study in non-performative pain and fear.
He flinches when The Other moves forward into his space
. And when The Other is behind him and says “You think you know pain?”
as the leviathan slithers in the background, he starts to cry, breathe
rapidly, grind his jaw and swallow convulsively:
You know, when The Other is behind him and there’s no one else to see him cry/do these things, so it’s not performative, it’s genuine. It’s fear.
