*slams hand on table* PIETRO COULD HAVE CAUGHT THOSE BULLETS WITH HIS HANDS, JOSS WHEDON WROTE THAT SCENE WRONG SO IT DOESNT COUNT THEREFORE I WILL IGNORE HIS DEATH UNTIL THEY PULL A COULSON AND BRING HIM BACK TO PROPERLY KILL HIM
I feel like I’m going to go to my grave without figuring out if Dr. Horrible is deliberately a condemnation of the geek-flavored version of toxic masculinity that would, years later, play a significant part in the resurgence of open white nationalism and the like in America, or if Joss Whedon is just a dumbass who wrote an extended callout post for himself on accident
according to elizabeth olsen, one of the main differences between whedon and the russos is that whedon wrote everything by his own self, while the russos allow for more actor participation in shaping their own roles and that high key explains why whedon!tony is a mere shadow relative cap 3!tony and hopefully avengers ¾!tony
Joss Whedon is saying goodbye to DC Entertainment heroine Batgirl. “Batgirl is such an exciting project, and Warners/DC such collaborative and supportive partners, that it took me months to realize I really didn’t have a story,” Whedon told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement.
Sources say that Whedon, after a year of trying, could not crack the code of what a Batgirl movie should be. Wonder Woman, in the meanwhile, became a cultural phenomenon as well as one of the biggest hits and most acclaimed movies of 2017.
the funniest thing about the directors commentary of the avengers (2012) is like straight up the first thing whedon says is “i get asked a lot, why did they pick you to make this”
The only people to blame for the current state of the Justice League are the critics.
Not WB
Not Joss Whedon
Sure as shit not Zack Snyder
Lets face it the previous DCEU movies (with the exception of Wonder Woman) didn’t work for the critics so they bitched and moaned which is why WB had to make changes. You can’t blame WB for reacting to negative feedback, they’re a fucking business, they have to address the complaints. Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League was “unwatchable” according to the fucktards who got to see it first and so WB had to react to that.
Joss Whedon sucks that’s true but he was just doing his job. He can’t help his directing style and sense of humour. He did what he was hired to do, change Justice League to make it more “watchable”, which means including stupid childish jokes and getting rid of stakes (something that audiences love about Marvel movies). Joss was just being Joss, sure you can blame WB for hiring him but Joss isn’t to blame for being himself. Moustachegate is not really his fault either, that’s all on Paramount Pictures, or WB for not delaying the release of the film to let the Special Effects Department finish the CGI.
If we have to blame anyone it will have to be the critics. You know the same fuckers who hated Batman V Superman and Man of Steel, who wanted Zack Snyder gone from the start. These same fucktards are the ones who want him back now. “We want Zack Snyders cut!” “It should be more like BvS” well maybe if you fuckers were a bit more accepting of Batman V Superman then we would have got to see the most awesome and badass Justice League movie ever made, but instead we got this because you dumb mofos want every fricking movie to be like Marvel and won’t accept anything different. Every negative change that has happened in the DCEU has been due to the critics, and they are the core of the problem.
I have absolutely no fucking doubt that if we had gotten the Zack Snyder cut the same people would have been shitting on it and saying “WB still haven’t learned from their past mistakes”.
I can’t believe Ezra and Gal didn’t even know about the scene where Barry falls on Diana. Joss created the scene with body doubles. I cannot stand that pig.
Seriously? Ugh.
That whole scene and the ‘batman grunts around on the floor for like 15 seconds after being hit because isn’t that hilarious’ just REEKED of Whedon.
